Warm Holiday Wishes To All

There is a very special lady that I want to extend a Special Holiday wish and appreciation to. Her name is Susan. Without her generous expression of love, my life would of been so terribly different. She didn't know anything about me, but her heart told her I was worth saving.

This Holiday Season, I hope others will find the heartfelt love within them to give someone like me, another chance to love back. We know you can't save us all, even though you want too. We're not sure how, us lucky ones get chosen, but are grateful we were. We will do everything possible to never let you down or be disappointed in us. We promise to love, cherish, and be your companion, until death do us part.

You've given us warm beds to lay our cold bodies on. You've given us food instead of trash off the street. You've tended to our medical needs, some more serious than others without hesitation. You've given us the love and tenderness that only someone that truly believes in us could do. You've taken us into your family and treated us as your own, knowing that someone special will be out there wanting to give us a furever home.

We want you all to know that we never take it for granite. We owe you our lives and doG Bless you and everyone for this opportunity to be loved this Holiday Season.

Love,
Coach Tressel

My foster family would like to wish every one a Merry Christmas too.

He Really IS Comfortable, Honest

I don't know how, but Coach really is comfortable and sound asleep, snoring! He doesn't take up much room in the recliner either. Might you have a space in your recliner to share with him.

Look Into My Eyes

Don't they just melt your heart. How can you resist not taking me home with you.

The Point Is Made

In this movie you can see the intensity that Coach displays when he is "in the zone". Look at his leg muscles quiver. He is in intense focus. Of what I don't know, but it sure exemplifies the Point of the Setter.

Being Prepard Is The Key

I think Green is my color. It really brings out the red in my hair, don't you think. Coach is a stunning gentleman who will melt your heart. He only weighs 42 lbs and is petite for an English Setter. But don't let his slim build fool you. He has energy to withstand the test of time outside, but inside he is a quiet, well behaved buddy. He knows to come when called from outdoors, even if in the middle of playing. He lays down on his bed when told, sit & down are other commands he readily does. You couldn't ask for a more loving dog for a companion than Coach. As his many outdoor videos show, he loves to play, so a house with another dog should be high priority. He will also require a fenced in yard. An invisible fence won't keep him in, only because he runs so fast while playing. He'll never feel the zap of the collar

Do Not Eat

Okay, I may be smaller then you, but I am Not your dinner!!!!!

On the Look-Out

I'm telling you Ali, there IS someone out there for me, I just need your help finding them.

I'll look this way if you'll look the other way Ali. Maybe with 2 sets of eyes, we'll find my family. Ali was also an IBR rescue dog, that found her forever family, with us.

Will It Ever Come?

Don't get me wrong, I like it at my foster home. The girls have really become my sisters now and it's great. I want a forever home so bad. A place to call my own and a family to love forever. Will it ever come?

Fall time is here and winter is just around the corner. It would be so much fun to play in the snow with a new family. Hopefully, I'm pointing in the right direction and my new family is just beyond the trees.

Hard Play, Cool Times

Coach definitely likes to run hard, play hard and knows how to cool off too. This morning it was no different. He doesn't have a slow speed when it comes to running. But when he's tired or ready to stop, it's instant.

Cooling off the feet feels so good.

But a total cool down is much better.

What A Wonderful Fall Day

Hi. It's a beautiful fall day here and I wanted to share it with you. I can't help not to smile just thinking of all the fun the falling leaves will bring. I hope you're day is full of wonderful fall colors too.

See 'ya later. Gotta go play.

Oh! one more thing I want to share with you. This is Ali. At first she didn't like me, but boy has she changed her mind. Now, we're the bestest friends. Yippy!! She came from Illinois Birddog Rescue too and now she's in her forever home. So I know there's hope for me to find my forever home, she told me so.

It's Mine. No It's Mine

No matter who's it is, it's really fun to have someone or two or three to play with. The girls have really excepted me and we all have a good time playing together. I like having someone to play with, so hopefully you will have another dog for me to get to play with too. I've aquired a fancy for stuff toys, chew sticks, and other dogs to play with. Foster mom has tons of stuff animals for us to pick from. Of course, we have to have the same one as the other has. Typical kids! Take me home and lets play together.

I Just Know It's Out There

Some where on the other side of this gate is my forever home. I just know it's out there, I just don't know where. I am grateful for all my foster home has done for me. I'm comfortable here and I like the girls, BUT I want my own family, especially for the holidays.

Someone that will let me run the yard, go on walks with, and most of all let me show them all the love I have to share with them. Please, let it be you.

Finally! I've Been Excepted By The Girls

Well it took a while, but they're finally playing with me. I knew they'd come around. It's really fun running around the yard with my choice of who to attack. I have 3 to pick from and they all seem to want to join in.

After a hard play, every dog needs a nap. I found just the right spot to be comfy.

No Chickens In Here

I got to check out real birds today. No chickens here. Nothing but Pheasants. How cool is that. WOW!!!!

Sleep Over with Friends

I had the pleasure of sleeping over with OXFORD, also a foster(http://ibroxford.blogspot.com) at a friends house this weekend (9/2008). It was the first time I had met Ox and the family. We all hit it off great right from the beginning.
We were tested on birds instincts too. I love birds!

Afterwards, a good nap.

I had so much fun and would love to have a playmate all the time. Someone that likes to hunt would be fantastic and if not, someplace where I can run, like a fenced in dog park and enjoy the outdoors.

Somewhere Out There

is my forever home and I know I'll find it soon. Are you looking out your window too?

I want to do this in my own home.

Can I add to your obstacle course? That's me next to the couch.

I'm A Bird Dog

A chicken IS a bird!

And another new thing I did today was go to a dog park. All of these other dogs followed me when I was running. I was the pack leader. It was soooo much fun. I can't wait until I can do it with you. I'm even good at recall from way across the park when my name is called.

Agility Possibilities

These 2 pictures are clips removed from the video that follows

Coach shows good potential for agility. Agility equipment doesn't have to be elaborate or expensive to have and you don't have to have a very big yard either. Agility builds a bond between you and your dog, grows their self confidence and can be fun for both you and him/her. It's not something that is required to adopt Coach, just a suggestion for something fun to do together.

Human Walked By Five Dogs and Survives!

Today we all took our human for a walk. Webfetti.com

We were gentle with her and didn't pull her too badly.

This was the first time I'd been out with the girls and it was rather nice. I do walk rather well on a leash, if I say so myself. Although, if I do see a squirrel, hang on! 'cuz I will try to go after it. After all, I'm a Bird dog with many priorities.

We also came across a little boy that wanted to Webfetti.com

us. We all sat for him and I wasn't afraid or timid with him at all.

Wet Feet

Coach is more comfortable around here since Tuesday. It took him a day of running the yard for 8 hours, but come Tuesday he started settling in. He comes to the door when he wants to come in and then lays down for a nap. He is not a furniture dog nor does he seek out attention(petting). He is still shy around strangers, but warms up when other dogs show him it's okay.

He sleeps through the night with no accidents and on a dog bed. No crate is necessary. Today, Wednesday, his 3rd full day here, I left him alone with my other 4 dogs to roam the family room/kitchen area for 3 hrs. and no problems at all.

He doesn't play with toys at this point, however he has picked up a stuffy but not play with it. He hasn't chewed a rawhide given to him for more than a minute or so. This might change, don't know.

He has good agility potential for any one interested in teaching him. He'd be great with the jumps. Has good height and no hesitation.

He's very sweet and anyone that would adopt him would have a wonderful pet with low maintenance. He's ready for a forever home.

Coach Tressel Settling In

Coach came here late last night after a very long traveling day. This morning he's checking things out. Unfortunately, with 10" of rain over the weekend, Coach and the yard are a little muddy.

Coach is apprehensive on anything new around him, too being skittish. Does answer to Coach and knows "in" when called to the house. Right now I'd say he needs a nice size yard to run. He does like to do that.

Very Handsome Gent!
Coach is on the skinny side and needs to gain about 10-15 lbs.
Any fish in here?
I found a turtle.
